You are a member of the Dream Club Community. Please join us at our new location. We are shutting down the old community and starting a new one. See below for more details.
Dream Club has existed for ten years, since April of 2000. It started as a place where people who were discovering their passion and purpose in the world could meet with supportive friends. It continues to be that place. It started with casual meetings at a Star Bucks in Houston Texas, then it went online in the form of a Yahoo Group. Then two years ago we formed an online social network. It is currently at 89 members worldwide and growing. Now it's time to evolve.
To celebrate the tenth anniversary of Dream Club we have decided to phase out the old Dream Club email list and the old online group and create them anew in a group in the new Dream Power online community "I Wanna Change the World."
The cool thing about this new community is that it's based on the Ning.com network which is growing faster than Facebook so we have the ability to get many more people involved. The Ning technology makes this community more pleasing to the eye and it's much more user friendly. You can also easily create your own interest and discussion groups within it. Of course you can create blogs, upload and embed videos and pics etc. So join and play around with it and see how you can make it better. We want to beta test it with Dream Club members before we officially launch it into the world.
So please join us at:

See you there!

Like many American outsider-adventurers, Dorian "Doc" Paskowitz set out to realize a utopian dream. Abandoning a successful medical practice, he sought self-fulfillment by taking up the nomadic life of a surfer. But unlike other American searchers like Thoreau or Kerouac, Paskowitz took his wife and nine children along for the ride, all eleven of them living in a 24 foot camper. Together, they lived a life that would be unfathomable to most, but enviable to anyone who ever relinquished their dreams to a straight job. The Paskowitz Family proved that America may be running out of frontiers, but it hasn't run out of frontiersman.
Check out his movie! It will really challenge your perspective.

Namaste
One of my favorite quotes is from a poem by T. S. Elliot, "the darkness becomes the light and the stillness the dancing." When one learns to embrace the sacred stillness the light within arises and all is given. Nourish and cultivate the seed of light within you by weeding out thoughts of fear and anxiety. In due time you will bloom, ripen and bear fruits of the spirit.

Stage
one - AWAKENING
In stage one, we are the restless. We go through life asleep to our
true purpose for existing. We feel restless, searching for meaning in
the meaningless things of the world. We live a never-ending search,
looking for happiness and peace in everything outside of ourselves.
At some point, we realize we are barking up the wrong tree and turn
within. Many times this will be brought on by a crisis in our lives.
Eventually we start to awaken to the idea that we were born to make
a difference; that there has to be something more to our lives. We are
not just cogs in some machine. We realize that who we truly are is important
and that we have something meaningful to contribute to the world, even
though we may not know exactly what that something is. It is at this
point of awakening that we enter stage two and begin the journey of
finding out exactly why we are here and what we are supposed to do with
our lives.
Stage
two - DISCOVERY
In stage two, we are seekers, determined to discover what is our gift,
what it is that we love to do? We start noticing what we really enjoy
doing for the pure joy of it versus for money and recognition. Eventually
we understand without a doubt what it is that we love to do, and we
realize that this is our gift for the world. Once we realize what this
gift is, we can enter stage three.
Stage
three - INITIATION
In stage three, we are artist, determined to cultivate our gifts and
win the battle against our ego and the many inner demons that arise
to convince us that we are not worthy, not good enough, or that no one
will need what we have to offer. We will deal with issues of survival,
and money. But eventually we will defeat these demons. We will begin
to understand that there is a larger purpose for what we love to do;
that there is a loving higher power that is guiding us; that what we
love to do is a necessary and meaningful part of healing the planet.
At this point, fears about survival will be washed away by our deep
desire to help make the world a better place. We will finally answer
the questions: "Why am I here?" and "What am I supposed
to do with my life?" When we realize that we are to heal the world
with our gifts, we enter stage four.
Stage
four - PURPOSE
In stage four--the last and final stage--our life purpose has become
clear. It is clear who we are, why we are here, what are our gifts,
and how we are to use these gifts to heal the planet. Now our focus
shifts from what we can get with our gifts to how can we can give and
contribute unconditionally. Now we see that there is much work to be
done. No longer do we stand back and feel powerless. With God at our
side, and his love in our hands, we boldly jump into the fray. When
we give of our gifts freely and unconditionally to the world, we have
become dream masters!
Depression and sickness are the results of closing down our channels to joy. Joy is what we experience as Love and Light fill us, and flow through us and express.
Get some joy flowing by wholeheartedly doing something you really enjoy (The key is “wholeheartedly.” You shouldn’t be thinking about other things, or be consumed with worry while you participate in the activity).
If you can’t afford to do that thing you really enjoy, then take a trip to your favor

I want you to know that I love you very much. It doesn't matter to me
if you eat fudge ice cream in your vintage underwear in the middle of
the night. And I think you're precious, not following through on your
Gratitude Journal yet, fourth year running. Beloved, I'm not the least
bit concerned with those unsavory thoughts about your ex. I am not
limited to momentary facts. I know your shimmering nature. I know how
AMAZING you are.
But if I'm honest, I am a little concerned about this. I wonder why
you don't trust the desires that have always been yours. You strive to
ignore your wildest dreams because they feel so good, but I thought
that surely you'd recognize their unrivaled power because they feel so good. Please know I supplied you with unstinting resources
and a hunger strong enough to make any of your desires come true. And
surely you've noticed a few of the lines I've written for you in some
of the self-help books you've read. I keep putting those books out
there and you even keep buying them. But, still, I find you sitting in
the corner as though you are an orphan child, as though you've been
abandoned without a key, a charm, a brand new GPS system and an
entourage waiting just for you. I even hear you whisper, "I don't know
what to do."
But I gave you a Free Pass. I gave you a Free Pass to the life that
stirs your blood and strengthens your bones. Yes, of course there are
challenges. But I thought you'd enjoy the thrill of the chase that way.
I didn't want to make it easy. I know your strength and capacity. I
thought you'd find the deluxe wild ride entertaining. I didn't think
you'd ever believe that circumstances could stop you. You are
unstoppable. You are branded with my love and with my infinite energy.
But here's the thing. When you stop believing in your soul's desires,
you've stopped believing in me. When you give up on yourself, you don't
feel my Presence anymore. Now that just destroys me. I've sung to you
from the radios and sent morning doves and dragon flies to mark your
path. I've used your life coaches and therapists to tell you the truth.
I whisper to you constantly. Sometimes I even press down on your heart
or turn the flames up on your blood pressure. I'll do anything dear one
to reach you. I'll never give up on you. I want you to know what you're
here for. I want you to stop denying what you know. Your doubt is
poison. It is not protecting you.
Now I know that you think you will not be rewarded in the world for
your singular expression, temperament, and abilities, but I tell you it
is not true, dear one. You will know nothing but reward when you share
your love. You will transform into another you, the real you ,
the one without limits, shame, fear or regrets. So dearest Beloved, I
send you a thousand roses of Spirit and ten thousand dark chocolates of
soul. I don't want a tryst with you. I want the whole thing, the Grand
Love Affair of watching you bloom and heal and let go of every false
limitation you've ever believed about yourself or the rest of your
shining world. These thoughts only make you tired. The truth would have
you laughing and clapping and hugging every precious soul around you. I
want you to burst through the density of this world with the power of
your totality. I want you to know what it's like to fully trust your
love and not look over your shoulder. I want you to know I've got your
back, your front, your sides, and your soul. I want you to honor your
true desires because they are your arrows. And like Cupid, I've shot
them through your heart. Cupid copied me by the way! Please know that
whatever you choose--and whenever you choose it-- you are loved and
sustained in ways you can't even fathom from your side of the veil. You
are my Beloved and I'm always here for you. Happy Valentine's
Day....everyday!

The purpose of the Inspired Kids Project is to expose families, without adequate financial resources, to experiences that are inspiring, positive, creative, artistic, beautiful and joyful, in order that they can develop to their fullest potential. Our goal at Dream Power is to expand their worlds. We believe that inspiration can open up the realms of unlimited possibilities that are all around them. And, once inspired, they will dream again, and their dreams will then reveal to them their gifts and true purpose in the world.
